It’s been an absolutely incredible month here at Intimate Pathways, and we’re thrilled to share some inspiring highlights from our Executive Director and Senior Clinician, Traci Owen! Her dedication to advancing the conversation around women’s sexual health, especially in the context of cancer survivorship, continues to make a profound impact.
Empowering Voices at the Breast Cancer Survivorship Expo
Earlier in April, Traci captivated audiences at the 2025 Breast Cancer Survivorship Expo, an impactful event hosted by Project 31 and the Stonebrook Project in Tulsa. She spoke passionately about the impact of cancer treatment on women’s sexual health and intimacy. Her insights resonated deeply, offering support and vital information to survivors and their loved ones.
Sharing Expertise on a National Stage
The momentum continued as Traci traveled to Denver for the Oncology Nursing Society’s 50th Annual Congress. There, she joined forces with her colleague Marloe Esch, APRN-CNS from Froedtert Health. Together, they delivered a comprehensive two-hour presentation on the vital role of the Oncology Sexual Health Specialist Nurse. This was a significant opportunity to educate and collaborate with nurses from across the country, furthering the integration of sexual health into oncology care.
A Heartwarming Step Forward
Seeing these conversations gain such recognition, especially after a decade of dedicated work in this field, is truly heartwarming. It reaffirms our commitment at Intimate Pathways to ensure that every woman’s journey includes compassionate support for her sexual health and well-being.
We’re excited to see this crucial dialogue continue to grow and reach even more individuals and healthcare professionals. Thank you for being part of our community and supporting this essential work!
