Sexual expression varies from person to person; however, there are some common threads to our curiosities, worries, habits, and hang-ups. At Intimate Pathways, we work with men, women, and couples to find solutions to their intimacy and sexuality concerns.
Below are some of the most common worries that folks need guidance to navigate.

What happens during a sexual health consult?
Prior to our first 50-minute appointment, you will receive and complete an online intake form. Your clinician will review this before your scheduled appointment.
During our first meeting, we will take the time to get to know each other while reviewing your intake form and talking about the concerns that bring you in. We will identify your goals as an individual or couple and begin to plot a course forward.
If you feel anxious prior to your first appointment, we understand completely. Talking about sexuality is not a skill most folks have had the opportunity to develop due to many social messages we receive deeming the topic “taboo.” Please know that our senior clinician, Traci Owen, has cared for the human body and human conditions for over 30 years. She is ready to hear your story and move forward at your pace.
How often do we meet?
We will work together to determine the frequency of our meetings. This is largely based on the work required to meet your intimacy and sexual health goals.
A common pattern would be meeting every 2-4 weeks for 4-8 sessions. Some folks will desire more, some folks less. This is about you, so we do not want to pre-determine your needs.
Should I bring my partner?
It is always our hope that a couple will approach concerns related to sexuality together, so yes! Of course, we also find value in allowing each individual their own talk space. Remember, this is about you and your needs.
What if I do not have a partner or am not sexually active?
We are all born as a sexual being and remain sexual beings throughout our lifetime. You have a sexual body that deserves to be healthy and cared for, whether you are sharing sex with a partner or not.
Will my health insurance cover a Sexual Health Consult at Intimate Pathways?
No; unfortunately, there is no private insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid billing avenue available for our services. If you have an HSA account with your employer, you can utilize this for payment.
When registering, you will provide debit/credit card information, and the appointment will be charged once our consultation has been completed.
Do you offer video telehealth visits?
Yes! When you are scheduling your appointment online, you will have the option to choose a video telehealth visit.
Once registered, you will receive an email link for the appointment. If there are any connection complications, your clinician will call the phone number listed in your demographic information to make an alternative plan.
Prior to the scheduled video telehealth appointment, please ensure that you have a private area to speak to protect your confidentiality. For liability protection, Intimate Pathways will not be able to meet with you if the area is not secured or if you are driving a car.
What if I need an appointment that is outside of standard business hours?
We understand that life works on many schedules, so we are committed to remaining flexible! If you are interested in having an appointment time outside of standard business hours, please request a complimentary 15-minute telephone call to see if we can find a time that works for you and your clinician.
What states are you licensed in?
We are licensed to practice telehealth in 40 states and Washington, D.C.!
Can Traci speak at my group or event?
Yes, she can! And she would love to! Contact Traci at [email protected] or call 918-283-7130 to discuss your needs.
